Hej Käja!

This is my translation:

Hr. og fru Bruce W. Sørensen

har den glæde at invitere

--------------- navn ----------------

til bryllupsmiddag

efter vielsen af deres datter

Käja Ann

til

hr. Asbjørn Godsk Fallesen

søn af hr. Frede Ottosen og fru Susanne Fallesen

Lørdag den 7. juli 2007

Klokken 16.00.

Middagen begynder kl. 17.00

Påklædning: Smoking/habit

We don't use the word 'ære' (honour) much in present Danish, we use the word 'glæde' (pleasure or joy).

The invitation translated to danish is a lot more unformel...because of the change of words...honor into joy/pleaseure. Some do use the word honor (ære) when they write their invitations in danish..especially when the invitations in english are so formel... ;)

By the way, regarding the "dresscode stuff", we wrote "dresscode" instead of "påklædning"..still more formel with the english frase...

Best wishes, Nanna :)

Hej søde!

Er du nu også her? :)

"...and it's not a very formal wedding.. just family and very close friends I just want to make it clear that it's not going to just be tea and cake... ( most of his family does parties with just cake and tea) this is a full meal.. ( the whole long drawn out many courses and everything)..."

:loveboard: Alexandra
